YWCA: FORTCANNING & PRESCHOOL

With a team of 4, we were tasked to film 2 corporate videos for YWCA. The first video showcasing the preschool and how they are inclusive and effective in their teaching methods, and the second video showing the spaces and amenities they have at the Fortcanning Lodge.
I was the director of photography for both videos and for the preschool video I took on the role of director and editor.
We had to come up with 3 different ways to film both videos and compare the pros and cons of those 3, with reference videos to back up our proposed style of filming. Throughout the whole project we met with countless obstacles and setbacks but I am glad we were able to adapt and pull through.

THE BIG IDEA
For the YWCA Fortcanning and Preschool video respectively, we first started by identifying the main focal points that the video should have and the importance and effectiveness of doing so.
Then we made a storyboard so the clients will be able to see
roughly how the final video will look like.
Lastly, we pitched the 3 different ideas that we had. The clients ultimately chose Family Fun which was the one we were hoping they'd choose as it was the most effective in conveying the intended message.
